This course specializes in the design and techniques of knitwear, which accounts for an estimated half of all apparel. While broadening your range of expression, you'll also have the opportunity to work with the latest equipment used by world-renowned brands.

Winner of numerous external contests

At the "National Knitwear Grand Prix," Sena from the knitting course won the Technical Award, which is equivalent to the runner-up prize, and Yusato won the Shibetsu City Mayor's Award. They achieved remarkable results among a large number of general applicants.

Product development and sales program in collaboration with the Senshu Knit Association

We collaborate with the Senshu Knit Cooperative, one of Japan's leading knit production areas. Students will commission the knitting of fabrics and learn the entire process of manufacturing, from designing and knitting knitted products to sewing and sales.

A knitting studio equipped with the latest equipment, rare anywhere in Japan

We have introduced the WholeGarment® computer flat knitting machine (fully seamless type), which eliminates seam allowances and enables three-dimensional expression, along with the latest knit design system. We conduct computer-aided production training.

Creating works that pursue the expression of knitting

Students will create knitwear that is full of originality and incorporates their free imagination. They will hold regular shows and exhibitions of their work, and will present a collection as their graduation project in their third year.

Collaboration with companies and department stores

We have undertaken many collaborations, including product development in collaboration with the Senshu Knit Association and working with Knuth Smurf at Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store to propose a main VP.
