VOUTRAIL 's vision is to "remain the most successful fashion education institution in Japan, possess leading influence in Asia, and be trusted by the world." To achieve this, it is strengthening its partnerships with overseas fashion schools and focusing on developing internationally competent individuals.
Furthermore, we actively support students in going abroad to develop an "international perspective."

We collaborate with Polimoda, an Italian school, to offer overseas study and training programs at that school.
We cultivate individuals with world-class sensibilities and practical skills by learning the innovative thinking methods of European design education firsthand.

During the design internship at Polimoda, students participate in practical workshops under the guidance of the school's professors, fostering creativity, expressiveness, and an international perspective, and developing a globally recognized sense of fashion. Outside of school, they can visit world-class exhibitions and museums, and experience firsthand the history and present state of Italian fashion in Florence.
Our school offers exchange programs and self-funded study abroad programs to Polymoda, allowing students to study abroad after graduation. By immersing themselves in a world-class design environment, students can acquire knowledge and skills that will be lifelong assets, opening the door to becoming a creator who can thrive on the international stage.

Taiyo Okada and Soichi Takeda, who studied abroad for their MA (Master's) degrees through self-funded study, were selected to participate in the "POLIMODA Graduate Show," an event only open to the most select students at the school, and enjoyed fulfilling days in a world-class environment. In addition, Marin Enomoto, who is studying in her fourth year of undergraduate studies (Bachelor's degree) through the exchange program, has received high praise as the only Japanese designer to be selected as the top prize winner in an international fashion competition.

Taiyo Okada
Graduated Super Designer"Life in Italy has been a constant source of inspiration. I am grateful to the school and everyone involved for giving me this invaluable opportunity that I could not have obtained anywhere else. I would like to make full use of this experience in my future creative work."

Marin Enomoto
Graduated Super Designer"During my studies abroad, I wanted to take on international competitions and projects, so I submitted my portfolio. At the final judging, I was the only Asian person among Europeans. Surrounded by strangers and unable to understand the language, I received wonderful feedback and was able to shine, which was a very valuable experience in my life."

At the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), one of the world's leading fashion schools,
We offer overseas training programs that include cutting-edge seminars in the industry, as well as courses on the history of clothing and visual merchandising (VMD).
On the final day, the students themselves present their project proposals in this practical training program.

We offer an overseas training program at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), one of the world's leading fashion schools, where students can learn about cutting-edge industry seminars, clothing history, VMD (Visual Merchandising), and more. On the final day, students present their own project proposals in this practical training program.
The main assignment in the FIT training program was, "What if you were to hold a pop-up store in New York?" Participants planned the budget, merchandise, store design, and overall aesthetics, and finally gave a presentation.
In addition, every day is packed with special experiences, such as tours of trendy shops in NY and press rooms that are usually only accessible to industry insiders.

The "Korean Styling Training Program," which started in 2022 as the first initiative of its kind in Japan, involves training with top stylists and hair and makeup artists in Korea.
After receiving a lecture from St. on the latest K-Fashion trends, each participant came up with their own styling ideas that reflected their own sensibilities.

In their second year, students participate in the "Korean Styling Training" program, which primarily involves practical photo shoots at trendy spots in Seoul. Lectures from stylists active in the area provide insights into the Korean industry, foster an international perspective, and broaden the scope of their own styling.
I went to Seoul, South Korea and made some purchases at wholesalers around Namdaemun and Dongdaemun. In the lively wholesaler district of South Korea, students themselves negotiate purchases on the same level as professional buyers. The purchased products are sold at the original shop of the graduation work presentation.
