This special course fosters free thinking unconstrained by conventional ideas, and hones high-level pattern-making and sewing techniques to bring those ideas to life. The goal is to win awards in major competitions.

Soen Award
The 98th Soen Award, Japan's most prestigious fashion contest, saw one of our students win the Grand Prix. Furthermore, we produced the highest number of finalists nationwide.
YKK Fastening Award
This is Japan's largest design contest for students, established with the hope of fostering the global success of young creators. In addition to winning the Grand Prix for two consecutive years, our students have received numerous other awards.
Reclothes CUP
At the BookOff-sponsored upcycle design contest, which gives new value to used clothing and promotes recycling, we received the Special Jury Prize for two consecutive years. In 2025, we also won the Runner-up Grand Prize.
15th N-1 Mode Grand Prix
This competition was established with the hope of nurturing the next generation of fashion designers. Misaki Shiragaki (3rd year) won the Hokkaido Governor's Award, Tomoka Kawaguchi (3rd year) won the Sapporo Mayor's Award, and three other students won prizes.
KAI HAT&Head-piece contest 2024
A design contest to discover new creators who will pave the way for the future of hat culture. Momoka Shiroyama (3rd year) won the award.
Nippori Fashion Design Contest 2024
This contest is held with the aim of nurturing talent that will support the future of the textile and fashion industry. Misaki Shiragaki (3rd year student) won the nuiyadesign Co., Ltd. Award.
