Those who meet all of the following criteria ① to ③

• ① Individuals who hold a nationality other than Japanese and are 18 years of age or older as of April 1, 2027.
• ② Individuals who have received 12 years or more of schooling abroad, or those with equivalent qualifications.
• ③ Those who meet any of the following criteria regarding Japanese language ability and Japanese language learning history.
• A: Those who have obtained N2 (Level 2) or higher in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)
• B: Those who have scored 200 points or more in the Japanese language section of the Examination for Japanese Language Students (EJU) (total score of reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and listening-reading comprehension).
• C: Individuals who have received Japanese language education for one year or more at a Japanese language education institution designated by the Ministry of Justice.
  (However, this excludes periods of study under the "Temporary Visitor" or "Designated Activities" residence status.)
• D: Individuals who have received at least one year of education at a Japanese elementary school, junior high school, high school, university, junior college, or graduate school.

In addition to the above eligibility requirements, those who meet both of the following conditions ① and ② are eligible for the "Support Program for International Students."

• Condition ①

  Applicants who hold a "Student" residence status at the time of application.

• Condition ②

  Applicants must meet one of the following criteria (A-C) and be able to receive a recommendation from a faculty member at their affiliated institution.

  • Currently, I am receiving Japanese language education for more than one year at a Japanese language education institution designated by the Ministry of Justice, and I can prove that I have an attendance rate of 90% or higher during my enrollment period.
  • Currently, I am receiving Japanese language education for more than one year at a special program for international students at a Japanese university or junior college, and I can prove an attendance rate of 90% or higher during my enrollment period.
  • I am currently enrolled in a Japanese university, junior college, vocational school, or graduate school.

Applicants who are currently residing in Japan under a residence status other than student status, such as "Short-Term Visitor (Tourism)" or "Designated Activities," or who reside overseas, are also eligible to apply. In that case, after the admission letter is issued, our school will apply for a "Certificate of Eligibility," and once it is issued, it will be mailed to the applicant around February.
