The "Korean Styling Training Program," which started in 2022, was the first of its kind in Japan.
This year, second-year students Stylist took on the challenge of styling and a photo shoot.
On-site, participants received lectures on the latest K-Fashion trends from top stylists and hair and makeup artists, and then each developed their own styling ideas based on their own sensibilities.
We conducted a photo shoot in the Dongdaemun and Haebangchon areas.

This year's training was a practical experience that allowed participants to feel at the forefront of K-Fashion, including receiving costumes from the popular brand "OMYO" for the first time.

① Stylist Lecture
The instructor is Kim Jin Young, a rising stylist active in the Korean fashion scene. She has worked with several brands at Seoul Fashion Week and is attracting attention in various fields, including her work as a model.
I learned about Korean fashion trends and the know-how needed to succeed as a stylist in Korea.

On the day of the event, OMYO director Kim Hee-Won also took the stage and explained the brand concept and products. He shared the message, "I am very much looking forward to seeing how Japanese students will express and style my brand."

② Hair and Makeup Lecture
Leading hair and makeup artist Kim Yumi took the stage and demonstrated techniques for creating the unique "transparency" and "dimensionality" of Korean-style hair and makeup.

③ Styling practice
This internship was once again supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and conducted at the "DFWM Buyer Lounge" operated by the Jung-gu District Office. Participants selected items and accessories to complement "OMYO" from the Buyer Lounge, and styled them using their own sensibilities while being mindful of current trends. Under the guidance of stylist Kim, they created a world that matched the concept and location.

④ Photoshoot
The real show is finally here.
The students will be on set to help the models with costume fittings and final adjustments.
We collaborated with a Korean photographer to conduct a photoshoot that captured the atmosphere and light of the city.
It was a valuable experience to see the styling I created myself take shape through collaboration with top-notch professionals.

During my training period, I explored fashion districts, visited cafes, and also experienced Korean pop culture.
The six-day training program was a stimulating and educational experience for the students.

This training program is made possible thanks to the support of many people in South Korea, including staff from Pyeongtaek University, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, OMYO, stylists, photographers, and hair and makeup artists.
This training program was a great source of encouragement for our academy, as it allowed us to build a diverse network in the field of international fashion education and provide our students with valuable learning opportunities.
