From June 12th (Thursday) to 15th (Sunday), third and fourth-year students from Super Designer participated in a live installation project titled "Draping with Sustainable Materials," held in the event space of the Portuguese Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

This project is an international collaborative project organized by the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association (ATP). It is a live event where students improvise garments using draping (three-dimensional pattern making) techniques, utilizing sustainable materials brought in from five ATP member companies in Portugal.

As a valuable live performance that combined the creativity of the students with high-quality Portuguese materials, attendees were able to witness the process of the artwork coming to life and experience the unique charm of live performances, woven together by Portuguese textiles that embody tradition and sustainability.

For our school, this project is the second in a series of Expo-related projects, following our participation in the "TGC in Osaka-Kansai Expo" held in April. In September, we are also scheduled to participate in the exhibition project "Co-creation Project for the Future of the Textile and Fashion Industry Based on Sustainability" at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion's "Reborn Challenge."
