■ "Senken Shimbun," the largest trade newspaper in the textile and fashion industry, has been selected as No. 1 nationwide.
On January 20, 2025, our school was awarded the Grand Prize at the 2nd Fashion School Awards, hosted by Senken Shimbun, making us the No. 1 school in the nation.
This recognition is a testament to our school's emphasis on "international awareness" and "digital skills" in its education, the approximately 30 diverse industry-academia collaboration projects conducted annually, the provision of special lectures by over 20 prominent figures from Japan and abroad, and our track record of producing 10 grand prize winners in major competitions each year.

~Reasons for the award~
The school is highly commended for its emphasis on international awareness and digital skills in its education, which produces globally competent individuals. It has steadily achieved results, including a record of winning grand prizes and awards in major competitions exceeding the previous year's figures. Its international industry-academia collaborations are also robust, including participation in the "Project for Co-creating the Future of the Textile and Fashion Industry Based on Sustainability" at the Osaka-Kansai Expo and a kimono upcycling project with Polimoda in Italy. Furthermore, it has established new overseas training programs to promote understanding of Japanese materials and culture. The school's commitment to providing education that is relevant to the times, including the continuous strengthening of digital education, was highly praised.

Senken Shimbun is the largest daily trade newspaper in the textile and fashion industry, and we believe that this year's Grand Prize, following last year's runner-up prize, is proof that our school's education is steadily bearing fruit.
All faculty and staff will do their utmost to further improve the quality of education so as not to disgrace this evaluation.

■What is the "Fashion School Award"?
This is the industry's first award, where a selection committee composed of journalists from the Senken Shimbun newspaper and others will judge the initiatives undertaken by fashion schools nationwide from January to December 2024, mainly focusing on "measures to improve student satisfaction," "unique educational methods and the establishment of new courses," "industry-academia collaboration and SDGs initiatives," "award results in various contests," and "employment and enrollment status," and determine the winners of each award. This year, 2025, will mark the second time the award has been held.
